Important Repair Notice

A laptop that does not charge is not always caused by the charging port.

Board-Level Repair

This service is intended for charging ports that are soldered directly to the motherboard.

If the motherboard has extensive damage such as missing pads, damaged traces, burned circuitry, or damage from a previous repair attempt, additional board repair may be required.

We will contact you before proceeding with any additional work or charges.

• A short description of the charging problem

• Your complete laptop model number

• A note stating whether the laptop has been repaired previously

We recommend including the charger you normally use so we can properly test the laptop after repair.

Please do not send laptop bags, external drives, mice, keyboards, or other accessories unless requested.

We recommend using a shipping service that provides tracking and insurance.

Please package the laptop securely with adequate padding so it cannot move freely inside the box.

Previous Repair Attempts

Please let us know if another repair shop or technician has previously worked on the charging port or motherboard.

Previous repair attempts may result in damaged solder pads, traces, components, connectors, or other motherboard damage.

Additional repair work may require an additional charge.

We will always contact you before completing work outside the original repair service.

Liquid or Physical Damage

Liquid damage, corrosion, impact damage, or severe physical damage may require additional repair work.

Damage to the laptop housing, motherboard, mounting brackets, charging circuit, or surrounding components is not included unless approved as an additional repair.

Data Notice

Please back up all important files before shipping your laptop whenever possible.

Charging-port repair normally does not require deleting your files or reinstalling Windows.

We make every reasonable effort to protect your device and data. However, Helton’s Computer Repair LLC is not responsible for data loss caused by existing hardware failure, repair, testing, storage-device failure, or shipping.

Repair Time

Most laptop charging-port repairs are completed within a few business days after the laptop arrives, is inspected, and the correct replacement part is available.

Additional time may be required for:

• Special-order parts

• Extensive motherboard damage

• Previous repair damage

• Liquid damage or corrosion

• Holidays or weekends

• High repair volume

• Unforeseen circumstances
